I’m Alison Wren and I’m passionate about helping the small businesses which make up the wedding industry.
In 2004 I set up DIY stationery business The Wedding Crafter. Over the next 7 years the business went from a back bedroom start-up to turning over a six figure sum, with a team of six and a custom-fitted workshop and warehouse.
It wasn’t easy – I had to learn about Search Optimisation, Blogging, Paid Advertising as well as run my business. I had some great successes – I got to the top of Google and stayed there. And some low moments – getting flooded out of our premises. But I stuck in there and built a business I loved.
In 2011 I sold the business for family reasons, but my hard-earned marketing experience stayed with me. For the past 6 years I’ve helped small businesses like yours get more sales.
This year I’ll be Head Judge for the North of England Wedding Awards for the sixth year – I love reading the client testimonials for so many wonderful wedding suppliers.
